Vellus Clarifying Shampoo will not remove natural emollients needed to maintain the health of the hair. Buildup symptoms: Oversoft hair, Unusual tangling and Sudden dull hair. You need the residue for performance, however after awhile it will turn into buildup with any line. Dilute 10 parts water to 1 part concentrate. Use the Clarifying Shampoo mixture every third bath to avoid buildup. Follow with the Show Shampoo. Rinse and Condition as usual. Cotton coats: Use the Clarifying Shampoo mixture every bath. Follow with the Show Shampoo. Rinse and Condition as usual. Vellus Clarifying Shampoo is also a good degreaser for cats. Oil and lanolin free.
